Black Cager Sports tries to see a lot of kids… We really do…

But… the plain truth is we miss a LOT of good players and teams. We don’t get everywhere. However, we do see a bunch of kids play basketball. College coaches are aware of this fact. As a result, they reach out to Black Cager when the Head Coach asks “who we looking at”? For a while, calls/texts seeking high school prospects came to a screeching halt. It’s easy to understand why.

First and foremost, NCAA Division 1 College coaches cannot evaluate players in person.

Also, every player in college basketball is technically eligible to return and play next season.

Plus, college players are eligible to transfer and play immediately.

These factors, taken together resulted in a dramatic decrease in demand for HS prospects at the Division 1 level.

But now the kids are about to play again… Things are looking up… Head coaches are, once again, asking their assistants “who we looking at?”

Here come those texts again: “Who should I be looking at?”

We try to be of assistance at Black Cager Sports. This season, in light of the added importance attached to video, Black Cager Sports will will have a specific beat. We can’t follow every high school. Some programs stated that they do not wish to appear on Black Cager Television.

Where streaming is noted we will stream or make available on-demand at least 1 game. Black Cager Sports will follow and update results for the following high schools this season:

There’s always a ton of talented kids in the Greater Philadelphia region. The Class of 2021 is no different. When asked who should coaches “look at” in the Class of 2021, Black Cager Sports forwards the list found below. These are kids we have observed in person over the past year. Of course, there are other talented and worthy players.

Low to mid-major D1, D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO coaches can begin their evaluation process by obtaining video on these kids. Additionally, Black Cager Sports will provide College Coaches with updates, statistics and video highlights for the high schools listed above.
